Northwest Cabarrus High School was a recipient of the education-based athletics grant for the 2020-2021 school year. Grant funds were used to provide new, safe, and efficient training tools for students and student-athletes. Equipment installed includes trap and hex bars, Texas power bars, power rack attachments, and a training system with software. These additions ensure all movements are possible and allow more choice and variation within their program. The training system has allowed training based on velocity standards and ranges rather than percentages.
