Pender High School was a recipient of the education-based athletics grant for the 2019-2020, 2020-2021, and 2021-2022 cycles. Grant funds were used to expand education and development for all coaches. This was facilitated through the purchasing of supplemental books and paying for Accredited Interscholastic Certification (AIC) and/or Certified Interscholastic Certification (CIC), obtained through the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS). All coaches completed the required courses and became level 3 certified. Pender High School achieved Level 1 status in NFHS School Honor Roll in 2020-2021 and Level 2 & 3 in 2021-2022. Additionally, they were named an Exemplary School in 2022.
